She isn’t really going to where the border crisis is though, she’s going to El Paso
Kamala Harris, the so called ‘border czar’ has finally decided to visit the border, but only after President Trump announced that he will be making a trip there, prompting Trump to issue a scathing statement.
“After months of ignoring the crisis at the Southern Border, it is great that we got Kamala Harris to finally go and see the tremendous destruction and death they’ve created — a direct result of Biden ending my very tough but fair Border policies,” Trump said in a statement.
He continued, “Harris and Biden were given the strongest Border in American history. And now, it is by far the worst in American history.”
“If Governor Abbott and I weren’t going there next week, she would have never gone!” Trump declared.
Just a week ago, Trump announced that he and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott will visit the Texas/Mexico border on June 30th, noting “Biden and Harris won’t even tour the scenes of the wreckage they created, or come down and visit with the Border Patrol and ICE heroes risking their lives to defend our Nation.”
Harris has avoided the crisis for over three months, but according to Politico will now travel to El Paso, Texas on Friday with DHS chief Alejandro Mayorkas.
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki has been claiming for months that there is no crisis on the border, and that it’s under control. On Thursday that narrative appeared to completely evaporate:
