Just Another Day In Paradise...

This is why I've had my kids in Shoshin Ryu jujitsu. It isn't a "belt mill" or a "one trick pony" like many other martial arts. Their school has so many techniques that it takes more than 5 years for even the best student to reach a black belt, and my sons have been there for more than ten and are homing in on black.
Teach your family full breadth self-defense because it is becoming more and more clear that they WILL need it.
