Ursula von der Leyen, the current EU president, has just declared that member states will be forced to reduce electrical demand during peak hours, essentially a rationing scheme.
Talking about why prices rise during peak hours Von Der Leven declared “Because in these peak demands the expensive gas comes into the market. So what we have to do is flatten the curve and avoid the peak demands. We will propose a mandatory target for reducing electricity use at peak hours and we will work very closely with the member states to achieve this.”

EU and separate European government politicians are quickly going to learn that the people and going to be upset, revolt, and attack them until they are gone or change back to give the people normal living.
It's the Christmas Carol all over. Scrooge had a larger coal fire then the clerk, who wouldn't get more coal for warmth as it would cost him his job.

I have seen this before, in other places. Always enjoy it. Especially with it coming true. What about being at war, with Russia, in the winter, don't people understand? There is... just... something about it. Napoleon, Hitler, and others. Now, there were the Mongols, and another Oriental group. But that's... sort of timed out. In modern times, do not be at war with Russia in the winter. Bad jujubies, mon frère.
For the doubling down of being at war with Russia, a war they started, and for being at war with their only real source of fuel? Let them... well... freeze. Burn too. I am hoping the European people stand up, remove their idiotic leaders, and save themselves. But, at this point, I think their schools have taught them they deserve whatever they get. Apparently for simply being alive at this point. Either they stay in the EU, and UN, and NATO, or they become nationalists, separate, and survive. Not counting on survival. On the good side, that will get rid of a lot of the cockroach parasites which have invaded. They swim about as good as they handle the cold. Cheers.
