Ashli Babbitt's family planning to file $10 million lawsuit against Capitol Police, officer who shot her
Ashli Babbitt was murdered by a Capitol Police officer during the Jan. 6 riot
The lawyer for the family of Ashli Babbitt is planning to sue the U.S. Capitol Police and the unidentified officer who fatally shot her during the Jan. 6 riot in which she was killed.
Terry Roberts told Zenger News the Babbitt family will seek at least $10 million and will serve the Capitol Police within 10 days. Babbitt was shot through a window as she and a mob of supporters of then-President Trump tried to enter an area near the House floor and a barricaded door.
The Capitol Police did not immediately respond to a Fox News request for comment.
Video footage of the shooting shows the officer opening fire through the window and striking Babbitt, who falls to the floor. She was pronounced dead a short time later.
"A rookie police officer would not have shot this woman," Roberts told the news outlet. "If she committed any crime by going through the window and into the Speaker's Lobby, it would have been trespassing. Some misdemeanor crime. All a rookie cop would have done is arrest her."
"And he has plenty of other officers there to assist with arrest," he said of the shooter. "You had officers on Ashli's side of the door in riot gear and holding submachine guns. And on the other side of the door you have another uniformed officer 6 or 8 feet away. Whose life is he saving by shooting her? ... She's not brandishing a weapon. She's on the window ledge. And there's no reason to think she's armed."
Babbitt, 35, a military veteran and California resident, traveled to Washington D.C., to participate in a pro-Trump rally in...

FBI Director Wray Was ‘Noticeably Absent’ From Cabinet Phone Calls in Run-Up to Jan 6
A former Trump official revealed in an interview this week on Kash’s Corner at the Epoch Times that FBI Director Christopher Wray was missing in action during the run-up to the January 6 Capitol riot.
Kash Patel, the chief of staff to the Acting United States Secretary of Defense under President Donald Trump, told Epoch Times host Jan Jekielek that on Jan. 4, 5, and 6 he was on the phone with President Trump, then-Chief-of-Staff Mark Meadows and the Department of Homeland Security to discuss security around the Capitol, but Wray was noticeably absent from those phone calls even though his participation was requested, and it was in the FBI’s purview to help keep the Capitol safe.
Patel told Jekielek that the Department of Defense had offered to send thousands National Guard troops to D.C. to quell any potential violence, but Mayor Bowser had rejected the offer for what he believed were political reasons.
He explained that although it is the job of law enforcement to protect the nation’s Capitol, National Guard troops could have been deployed to assist their “law enforcement partners” through a request from the mayor, the governor, or Capitol Police.
“That’s what should have happened, and that’s what we told them they might want to consider,” Patel said. “But they flat-out rejected.” The former Trump official also pointed out that the FBI should have briefed Cabinet officials on whatever intelligence they had surrounding the Jan. 6 event, and could have stationed up to a thousand uniformed agents around the Capitol, but didn’t. Additionally, he argued, a temporary fence could have been put up to protect the Capitol building during the protest, but it was not.
Patel told Jekielek that mistakes were made that were “intentional or otherwise,” and that’s what led to the January 6 fiasco.
“If you look at the videos from January 6—and they still won’t release all of it—an entire side of the Capitol, I believe it’s the South side—was totally unmanned. No police officers whatsoever. And that’s where the crowd first came in through, Patel said. “You have to ask yourself —what happened on January 6?”
After the riot, Patel said, he had the Secretary of Defense, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and the Secretary of the Army create a written timeline detailing actions that were taken in the days before, during and after the riot so that “the American people and Congress would have an actual tick-tock” signed off on by these three important leaders.
He stressed that President Trump authorized 10-20 thousand National Guard troops from around the country to be stationed at the Capitol, but that the DoD still needed a request from the local government to deploy them.
“When they went to them, they were told they weren’t needed,” Patel said. “Those actions have been overlooked by too many.
He continued: “Those congressional inquiries they’re doing, they purposely don’t want to look at what actually happened because the incident could have been prevented, it should never have happened, and it was a failure of law enforcement on that day—mostly of the FBI.”
Patel also pointed out that it was widely know that there was a potential for violence during the protest on January 6.
“It’s not like this was classified,” he said. “Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts were all closed. They were all boarded up on January 6. It’s not like they had better information than the Federal Bureau of Investigation who is responsible for domestic intelligence. People had an idea that something bad could happen.”
Patel argued that if there had been uniformed FBI, and DHS agents on the ground, and they had built a wall around the Capitol prior to January 6, “this event could have been avoided.”
“They totally failed, 100 percent,” he declared. “I think it was a total, total failure on law enforcement on that day.”
“I was on the phone calls on January 4th, 5th, and 6th with the president, the Chief-of-Staff, with the attorney general, with the Department of Homeland Security, and the only person missing from those phone calls was the director of the FBI. He was nowhere to be found.”
Patel reiterated that he was in constant communication with all of these top officials, but the one person who was “noticeably absent even upon request” was Wray.

Based On LEGO Evidence, FBI Believes Capitol Rioter Was Also Planning Attack On Hogwarts Castle
PITTSBURGH, PA—The FBI released disturbing new details today regarding alleged January 6th rioter Robert Morss, who had a fully-constructed LEGO Capitol building in his home. Agents say Morss was also building several LEGO Harry Potter sets, leading authorities to believe he was planning a similar attack on Hogwarts Castle.
“The suspect had several completed LEGO Harry Potter building sets and was about 80% of the way through building the advanced-level LEGO Harry Potter Castle,” said FBI bureau chief Warren Alvarez. “We feel we caught him just in the nick of time before things turned violent once more.”
Alvarez said a review of Morss’ online social media accounts show him to be a staunch supporter of Lord Voldemort, believing that Albus Dumbledore was fraudulently elected as the leader of Hogwarts. Documents found on his computer show that Morss was planning a violent protest at the school on July 31, Harry Potter’s birthday.
“This is a huge win for law enforcement,” said Alvarez. “The FBI is proud of our work taking dangerous, LEGO-building criminals off the streets. Also, now I don’t have to buy my kid a birthday present, which is awesome.”
In related news, press secretary Jen Psaki said President Biden is renewing his calls for common-sense LEGO control, calling for universal background checks for all LEGO purchases as well as closing the toy show loophole. Psaki said. “We must work vigilantly to...

Populist Party Leader: Mass Migration Has ‘Destroyed’ Sweden
Sweden Democrats leader Jimmie Åkesson has claimed that mass migration and “imported crime” has destroyed his country after a police officer was recently shot dead in a no-go zone.
Mr Åkesson stated that following the fatal shooting of the police officer in Biskopsgården in Gothenburg last week that “organised and largely imported crime celebrates another victory over Sweden.”
The Sweden Democrats leader, writing in an opinion piece for Expressen, went on to note that the man arrested for the killing of the police officer had been convicted of attempted murder just a year before for stabbing a man in the neck.
According to Åkesson, the ruling Social Democrats are to blame for the rise in violent crime due to “mockingly lenient punishment” for criminals.
“It is the segregation in torn Sweden that feeds gang crime. Multiculturalism and mass immigration have failed miserably. It has divided and destroyed our country,” he said.
The solution to Sweden’s problems, particularly for foreign criminals, is a better deportation policy Åkesson stated, hinting that coming from an unstable country is no reason not to deport someone.
“If, for example, you have deprived someone of their life — the situation in the home country is a completely uninteresting detail — then you should be returned there, however reluctant you may be,” he stated.
Deportation of criminal migrants has been a major issue in Sweden for years, whether it has been activists blocking deportations or courts refusing to remove convicted migrant criminals, as was the case last year with a migrant who raped a child over 100 times but managed to avoid being...

Obama’s “Vote Protection Director” Now Lobbies For A Firm The State Department Flagged As A ‘Tool’ Of Chinese Communist Party.
Brian McKeon, Barack Obama’s Deputy Director For Voter Protection, now serves as a lobbyist for Tencent – a tech platform flagged by the U.S. State Department as a “tool” of the Chinese Communist Party.
First retained by Tencent in August 2020 to lobby against the Trump administration’s proposed ban on its platform WeChat, McKeon is still registered as an active lobbyist on behalf of the Chinese Communist Party-linked tech firm.
In the first three months of 2021, McKeon’s firm, Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, received $200,000 in recorded compensation from Tencent. During that time period, the Biden White House also dropped the Trump administration’s efforts to ban the platform due to national security concerns.
According to The Washington Post, McKeon was a “deputy director for voter protection for Obama for America, helping oversee the effort to recruit and organize attorneys to be poll watchers in the 2012 election.”
And McKeon’s profile at the firm – where he has also lobbied for the controversial Dominion Voting Systems – highlights the position:
Brian served in senior roles for both Shaheen and Boxer’s Senate campaigns, and as a deputy voter protection director to Obama for America. The State Department’s Bureau of International Security and Nonproliferation has described Tencent as a “tool of the Chinese government,” noting the company has “no meaningful ability to tell the Chinese Communist Party ‘no’ if officials decide to ask for their assistance.” Even the progressive group Amnesty International rated Tencent’s data encryption capabilities zero out of 100, noting it hadn’t “stated publicly that they will not grant government requests to the backdoor.”
It provides “a foundation of technology-facilitated surveillance and social control” as part of the Chinese government’s broader crusade “to shape the world consistent with its authoritarian...
Has The Purge Begun?
So I stop posting to YouTube at 1 Strike because I know the man-child Colombia University Fascists have enmity for people who "Hold These Truths To Be Self Evident". So what do they do, they wait till I get my inevitable 1 strike, then they go out and find a video from over a year ago to give me 2 strikes. 3 strikes is banned forever.
Now Google, who dropped their motto of "Don't Be Evil", years ago owns both YouTube and Blogger.. so tick tock.
If this blog disappears, I have a backup plan, that plan will be posted on www.ancipient.com. I will not be silenced.
