The most damning article about vaccines yet

British doctors now openly beg for more lockdowns because they say they can’t rely on vaccines

This new piece from Reuters - hardly a outpost of anti-vax fanaticism - should terrify vaccine advocates.

And, honestly, scare the rest of us.

A reminder: Britain has pursued a mass vaccination strategy as aggressively as any country. It approved Pfizer’s vaccine even before the FDA. More than 80% of Britons over 16 are now fully vaccinated.

But Britain is in far worse shape than it was at this time last year, when no one was vaccinated. It is now averaging about 140 deaths a day, roughly 10 times as many as mid-September 2020. And hospitalizations and deaths continue to rise.

But Britain - which had a very strict and economically damaging lockdown last year - has essentially given up on lockdowns and other national control measures. Over the weekend, or even dropped the plan for a vaccine passport (though it has since backtracked a bit).

Now Reuters reports British physicians are warning the vaccines don’t work well enough to allow the country to return to normal:

The piece is an unfortunate exercise in unintentional irony, as when it sincerely refers to the “success” of vaccinations two paragraphs after explaining that “relying largely on vaccines… could put unintentional pressure on hospitals.”

And then there’s this:

COVID-19 Cases Spike in Singapore After Country Reaches 80 Percent Vaccine Threshold

Singapore is reporting its highest number of COVID-19 cases in over a year after their nation reached its 80 percent vaccine threshold.

As a result, authorities are beginning to once again implement lockdown measures, including banning social gatherings in the workplace and requesting that residents only go to a maximum of one social gathering per day in their private lives.

Alex Cook, an infectious diseases modelling expert at the National University of Singapore, is making excuses for the vaccine regime, as public health experts toeing the line for Big Pharma are known to do.

“The community cases have actually gone up since reaching 80 per cent coverage, in part because we’re allowing more social events for those who are vaccinated and, I dare say, more fatigue at the control measures,” Cook said.

However, Cook did admit that the vaccines are worthless in stopping the Delta variant of COVID-19, which, of course, will just be used as a justification to push more shots.

“One main lesson from across South-East Asia is that it is incredibly hard to prevent Delta’s spread and, as Singapore shows, even high vaccination rates will not...

Moderna analysis: Those vaccinated last year twice more likely to contract COVID-19

Moderna Inc. has released a set of data which suggested its COVID-19 vaccine is effective in preventing serious health issues or death from "variants of concern" but admitting that efficacy decreases over time, such that those who received the vaccine last year were twice more likely to contract a breakthrough case of the coronavirus disease.

According to the data, which Moderna released Wednesday, a "study shows lower risk of breakthrough infection in participants vaccinated more recently (median 8 months after first dose) than participants vaccinated last year (median 13 months after first dose)."

A Moderna trial conducted over the summer, labeled Phase 3 COVE Study, revealed that "88 breakthrough cases of COVID-19 occurred in the more recently vaccinated group (49.0 cases per 1000 person-years) compared to 162 cases in the group vaccinated last year (77.1 cases per 1000 person-years)."

Across both groups, Moderna highlighted that "only 19 severe cases were observed." While there was a "numerical trend toward a lower rate of severe cases in the groups vaccinated more recently." Moderna insisted that the number of cases was low enough that the trend was "not significant."

The research found that those who were vaccinated earlier on had a 50% higher rate of symptomatic breakthrough cases during the months of July and August compared to...
