Socialist Party Demanding $20 Minimum Wage Insists It Should Not Be Subject To $20 Minimum Wage

The socialist party in Seattle that wants to raise the federal minimum wage to $20 per hour but
advertised a job last week for an experienced web developer paying just $13 per hour is now defending itself.

The Huffington Post, which was sued by a bunch of unpaid bloggers after founder Arianna Huffington sold the website for $315 million, has the story.

The argument from the Freedom Socialist Party is that it cannot afford the minimum wage it seeks to impose on every commercial entity in America. (RELATED: Seattle Socialist Party Wants $20 Per Hour Minimum Wage, Offers $13 Per Hour For Website Manager)

Doug Barnes, the Freedom Socialist Party’s national secretary, claimed that the collectivist political organization shouldn’t be subject to its own wage demands because it is a nonprofit that receives revenue from leftist contributors.

“We’re practicing what we’re preaching in terms of continuing to fight for the minimum wage,” Barnes told the HuffPo. “But we can’t pay a lot more than $13.”

Barnes also suggested that the Freedom Socialist Party would make more money off the backs of the low-wage workers he claims make many contributions if the federal government or state governments forced businesses to pay employees a minimum of $20 per hour.

“Our donor base would all be affected, and the low...

Human Rights Watch: China Is “Existential Threat” To Global Freedom

Warns of “a dystopian future in which no one is beyond the reach of Chinese censors”

Non-governmental organization Human Rights Watch warned Wednesday that if China continues to go unchecked, it threatens to enslave the entire global population and eviscerate freedom for good.

In its annual report, the think tank cautioned that the Communist Chinese government is using technology, censorship and violent repression to such an effective extent that it threatens to fundamentally undermine international human rights forever.

“Beijing has long suppressed domestic critics. Now the Chinese government is trying to extend that censorship to the rest of the world,” the 652-page report concluded.

HRW declared that China is now engaged in the “most intense attack” ever on freedom, and that President Xi Jinping’s government is executing“the most brutal and pervasive oppression that China has seen for decades,” including the implementation of a “nightmarish surveillance system” in Xinjiang province.

The report outlines how China is using its might to systematically silence political dissidents, religious groups, and ethnic minorities.

The report is so damning that Beijing banned HRW executive director, Kenneth Roth, from traveling to Hong Kong to attend an event to release it. Instead, the report was launched at the United Nations headquarters in New York.

The report also criticized the UN, other countries, and global corporations for not doing enough to stand up to China, accusing them of being “willing accomplices,” of “enabling” the crackdown and turning a blind eye to “a dystopian future in which no one is beyond the reach of Chinese censors.”

“Far from being spurned as a global pariah, the Chinese government is courted the world over, its unelected president receiving red-carpet treatment wherever he...

Confused Old Man Yells at Nation for an Hour

3,720 seconds of lies, fearmongering, and malapropisms.

A confused political hack from Delaware staged a one-man insurrection by invading the sacred precincts of the Capitol building, hijacking all the TV networks, and yelling that the planet would be destroyed unless we gave him all our money so he could burn it and turn it into green energy.

Joseph Robinette Biden Jr, who loves the sound of his voice more than his crackhead son or the bastard grandchild of a stripper, had already inflicted the second longest opening address in the history of this nation with a 2021 marathon address that killed more brain cells than meth.

Like the star of a slasher movie sequel, Biden Jr., returned to ramble through a worse sequel, but kept it down to a mere hour and two minutes of torture. The two minutes are significant because when you have to endure the Vogon poetry of word salads, non-sequiturs, mumbles, grumbles, malapropisms, and random interjections, 120 extra seconds is an eternity.

During those 3,720 seconds of lies, fearmongering, and malapropisms, Biden took credit for defeating COVID, Putin, and the English language. While viruses and nations can’t be defeated with hot air, English never stands a chance once Biden’s mouth gets its slimy tongue on it.

With the National Guard having safely secured Washington D.C. and locked down the U.S. Capitol, there was no room for anyone to escape no matter how badly they wanted to.

Unless they refused to take a COVID test.

Despite that, Congress appeared empty and the applause hollow. Some members had failed to show. Others kept their distance from each other as if malaise and failure were catching.

Biden, whose minions had met the threat of a Freedom Convoy of half a dozen trucks on their way to D.C. by summoning 800 National Guardsmen, began by asserting that, “freedom will always triumph over tyranny.” The best evidence of that was the complete collapse of mask mandates and the entire COVID public health security state that Biden had touted last year.

That and Biden’s poll numbers which are so far south they practically qualify as illegal aliens.

With the price of gas, homes, and groceries out of the reach of most Americans, Biden began by taking credit for doing nothing to stop Putin from invading Ukraine. And then vowed that he, along with a coalition of “freedom loving nations” would fight Putin until the last Ukrainian.

Or until their social media people run out of hashtags.

Biden, who confused the Iranians and the Ukranians, spent more time bragging about plans to seize the yachts of Russian oligarchs than Truman spent declaring victory after WWII.

Putin “may make gains on the battlefield,” Biden argued, but “he will pay a continuing high price over the long run”. Sure. Vlad may take Ukraine, but Biden will take his yacht. During his unhinged tirade, Biden revealed a plan to end women’s sports in America, but failed to...

Audio Reveals Dan Crenshaw’s Attack on Freedom Caucus Colleagues Was Inspired by Paul Ryan.

Congressman Dan Crenshaw recently blasted fellow Republicans in Congress as “performance artists” – a term he admits to learning from establishment Republican Paul Ryan, according to unearthed audio that also features Crenshaw hypocritically admitting that he couldn’t “claim that [he’s] not a performer.”

Speaking at a recent campaign event hosted by the organization Texas Liberty Alliance PAC, Crenshaw went out of his way to critcize members of the House Freedom Caucus as “performance artists” and “grifters.” Counting nearly thirty conservative members such as Representatives Matt Gaetz, Paul Gosar, and Mo Brooks – the House Freedom Caucus is home to some of former President Donald Trump’s staunchest allies and conservatism’s most important voices.

“There’s two types of members of Congress: there’s performance artists and legislators. Now the performance artists are the ones that get all the attention. The ones you think are more conservative because they know how to say slogans real well. They know how to recite the lines that our voters want to hear,” Crenshaw explained during the December event before praising the voting record of “Never Trumper” Rep. Adam Kinzinger.

Crenshaw’s criticisms, however, appear at odds with remarks made on his podcast, Hold These Truths.

During an episode featuring his friend Congressman Mike Gallagher, the two discuss whether or not elected officials should play the role of “social media content creator” or “legislator.” In the discussion, Crenshaw reveals he learned the “legislator” vs. “performer” distinction from establishment Republican and frequent Trump critic Paul Ryan. He even admits to being the latter – the same behavior he publicly condemned in his December event.

“Paul Ryan and I had this discussion like he divides people up up here into legislators and performers, and the truth is is that you have to have a foot in each category to effectively communicate because whether we like it or not America is a giant reality TV show and people want to be entertained to an extent,” he begins.

“That’s easy to do because it’s easy in the conservative side to just sort of list slogans that we know work like lock her up,” he says before mimicking a cheering audience and adding “it just works, right” while laughing.

“I can’t claim that I’m not a performer. I jump out of airplanes in campaign videos. Obviously, I’ve done that stuff because it’s fun, but then you owe people a serious discussion,” he reiterates.

FBI refuses to release documents in probe into possible nationwide voter registration fraud

The FBI took over a 2020 probe into voter registration fraud that began in Michigan but has denied a Freedom of Information Act request regarding the investigation, citing an exemption in that law regarding ongoing investigations.

According to the dozens of pages of police reports from the Muskegon Police Department and Michigan State Police, a firm called GBI Strategies was under scrutiny as an organization central to alleged voter registration fraud in the 2020 presidential election. The matter was initially investigated by city and state authorities before the FBI took over.

Contacts between local law enforcement and the FBI continued into 2022 but there is no evidence of what happened after that in the memos obtained by Just the News through requests made under Michigan's own Freedom of Information Act.

Last week, the FBI denied a Freedom of Information/Privacy Acts request from Just the News regarding records from the investigation into GBI Strategies.

The request sought “copies of all reports, documents, and records about GBI Strategies, including all communication and correspondence regarding investigations of GBI Strategies with Michigan government officials, city and state law enforcement agencies in Michigan, and all other state government officials and law enforcement agencies involved in investigations of GBI Strategies.”

The FBI’s response partially reads: “The material you requested is located in an investigative file which is exempt from disclosure.”

The FBI cited 5 U.S. Code § 552(b)(7)(A) for exempting disclosure of the records, specifically, "records or information compiled for law enforcement purposes, but only to the extent that the production of such law enforcement records or information … could reasonably be expected to interfere with enforcement proceedings."

The agency’s response continued: “The records responsive to your request are law enforcement records; there is a pending or prospective law enforcement proceeding relevant to these responsive records, and release of the information could reasonably be expected to interfere with enforcement proceedings.”

Police from Michigan interviewed GBI Strategies employees in 2020 and cited specific instances of registrations that appeared suspicious or fraudulent, the previously obtained memos show. A Michigan State Police memo described the possible crime being investigated as "Election Fraud by Forgery."

The Michigan attorney general's office confirmed last month that there was a state investigation into thousands of suspected fraudulent voter registrations, which was referred to the FBI, the Bridge Michigan reported.

Danny Wimmer, press secretary for the State Attorney General, told Just the News in August that among 8,000 to 10,000 voter registration forms that were submitted to the Muskegon clerk before the 2020 general election, some were suspected to be fraudulent.

"An organization turned in some thousands of voter registrations throughout the fall of 2020, estimated on the high end to be cumulatively 8-10,000, and some within those batches were found to be suspicious or fraudulent," Wimmer said.

There were legitimate registrations within the batches. The city clerk receiving the batches alerted authorities when she began noticing irregularities.

"None of the fraudulent material was incorporated into the state’s qualified voter file, and this had no effect on any ballot requests or associated processes. This attempted fraud was detected because the system worked," Wimmer added.

Wimmer explained to The Detroit News last month that state officials referred the unresolved investigation to the FBI because it has national jurisdiction. He independently confirmed to Just the News that "The case was referred to the FBI in March of 2021."

When Just the News first asked about the investigation on Aug. 9, the FBI National Press Office said the following day that their “standard practice [is] to neither confirm nor deny the existence of an investigation.” The Muskegon Police Department also declined to comment on the investigation “because this matter is possibly an active investigation by our law enforcement partners.”

According to a Michigan State Police report, in March 2021, "D/SGT. PONZETTI ... STATES FBI TASK FORCE SHE IS ASSIGNED TO HAS POSSIBLE INVESTIGATION REGARDING [redacted] IN OTHER STATES. REQUESTED MSP, AG AND MPD REPORTS FOR REVIEW."

On a supplemental police report dated May 28, 2021, it reads, “Case will remain open as FBI has opened an investigation on the nation wide organization.”

The latest dates on the report are Aug. 19, 2022, where it reads, “STILL MAINTAINING EVIDENCE FOR FBI,” and Sept. 20, 2022, which reads, “Six month supp.,” and that the status of the investigation is “open.”

According to the Muskegon police report, the FBI visited the Muskegon Police Department in May 2021 to examine the voter registration applications.

Sessions Calls Out Southern Poverty Law Center for Using ‘Hate Group’ Label to ‘Bully’ Conservatives

In a speech highlighting “new hostility” against religious believers in the United States, Attorney General Jeff Sessions specifically called out the Southern Poverty Law Center, a liberal group known for labeling organizations it opposes as “hate groups.”

Sessions spoke Wednesday to Alliance Defending Freedom’s Summit on Religious Liberty. Alliance Defending Freedom is a nonprofit religious liberty legal group that most recently defended Colorado baker Jack Phillips in his 7-2 victory in the Supreme Court.

The SPLC, a liberal nonprofit group which tracks groups like the Ku Klux Klan, has labeled ADF a hate group, as well as other conservative-leaning organizations.

“People of faith are facing a new hostility. Really some of it is a bigoted ideology which is founded on animus towards people of faith,” Sessions told the ADF conference. “You’ll notice that they don’t rely on the facts. They don’t make better arguments. They don’t propose higher ideals. They just call people names—like ‘hate group.’ Does that sound familiar?”

Sessions asserted that the SPLC was once a legitimate group in identifying real hate groups. The SPLC has been a partner with the FBI in identifying certain hate groups.

“They have used this designation as a weapon and they have wielded it against conservative organizations that refuse to accept their orthodoxy and choose instead to speak their conscience,” Sessions said of the hate group label. “They use it to bully and intimidate groups like yours which fight for the religious freedom, the civil rights, and the constitutional rights of others.”

He later said to the ADF, “You and I may not agree on everything—but I wanted to come back here tonight partly because I wanted to say this: You are not a hate group.”

Sessions also announced a new review at the Justice Department.

“Let me say this loud and clear: At the Department of Justice, we will not partner with hate groups. Not on my watch,” Sessions said. “I have ordered a review at the Department of Justice to make sure that we do not partner with any groups that discriminate. We will not partner with groups that unfairly defame Americans for...

Key to absolute Power: Brand EVERYONE that you disagree with as a ‘Terrorist”.

Wow, THAT was easy.

Canada has apparently beaten us to the punch.

The preemptive destruction of freedom of speech appears to be justified today by any threat of “domestic extremism”. There were only two mini-protests allowed on Inauguration Day last year, each with 100 or fewer participants.

DC Bowser stated that the city has a special responsibility to ensure a peaceful transition: “We have a responsibility to ensure a peaceful transition of power in our country.” Four years after screaming that Trump was Hitler, Biden took power with a display of military force and suppression of dissent that resembled a Soviet inauguration parade more than a traditional American inauguration.

The swearing in was watched by a handful of Washington elites instead of the usual throng of Washington citizens. On that day, Biden spoke to 190,000 flags surrounded by intimidating fences instead of a live audience.

Pelosi kept the fence and the National Guard long after there was no realistic threat to the Capitol-much the same way Truduea kept the Emergency Powers AFTER the truckers’ convoy was dispersed. These menacing trappings may have been designed to help Biden prove that he needed a new domestic terrorism law to prevent Trump supporters from conquering Washington, D.C.

Perhaps he can incorporate an outreach that includes branding anyone who helps a “terrorist” as the same, including gas station clerks and waitress that serve lunch. Nah, that would be too ridiculous.

If Congress can fence out the American people any time there is a rumor of protest, will school boards follow suit and place barbed wire around their buildings prior to meetings? By doing so, the Biden-FBI effort to label parents’ complaints about school board members as terrorist threats would gain a boost.

The Capitol Police can get a detachment of bayonets and barbed wire to escort members of Congress to their districts and keep constituents away from them during public meetings. After all, nothing says “Freedom” like secret meetings and “under-the-cover-of darkness” negotiations.

In addition, Capitol Police plans to set up “branch offices” in California and Florida (and, presumably, in Ottawa), and their activities outside of DC will be secret — thanks to their exemption from the Freedom of Information Act that applies ONLY to other federal law enforcement agencies.

Folks, this is bad-secret police that are not under public scrutiny is one of the hallmarks of EVERY dictatorship in recent memory.

After the harrowing example of Canada, it is particularly unwise to tolerate protests on Capitol Hill. Justin Trudeau declared martial law when angry truckers descended on Ottawa and honked their horns.

The Post described the subsequent police crackdown as “largely restrained,” despite using pepper spray, stun grenades and “other anti-riot weapons” on peaceful protestors.

In videos, police horses plow into crowds and knock people down, cops brutally beat protestors, and cops threaten to arrest a lady from Alberta who merely wanted a cup of coffee. Trudeau’s lackeys have warned that the government will hound and financially cripple or destroy anyone involved (including their pets) in the protest.

It will happen here — especially since much of the American media despises anti-Biden protestors. According to a poll, 65% of likely Democratic voters supported Trudeau’s brutal suppression of the trucker protest.

In the aftermath of Biden’s election, policies that were considered authoritarian prior to his election are now welcomed by many voters who feared that Trump was lurking in the shadows and getting ready to unleash an onslaught of mean tweets.

Members of Congress may find comfort in a high fence that...

“This Work Terrifies Me”: Virginia Tech Professor Triggers Free Speech Debate Over “Who I Am” Statement

It is now common for faculty to include diversity statements with their syllabus. Indeed, such statements are encouraged at most schools. However, a statement by a human development and family science assistant professor at Virginia Tech University has triggered a debate over academic freedom and free speech. Crystal Lynn Duncan Lane reportedly added a “Who I Am” section to her syllabus that has drawn criticism on sites like Campus Reform and from some of her students over an apology for being white and middle class. While Lane states that dealing with her own latent racism is “work [that] terrifies me,” her statement has outraged others who felt that it was itself racist against white students and colleagues. As will come as little surprise to regulars on this site, I believe this is protected speech by Lane. The question for me is whether the university would tolerate a statement denying such inherent racism from a professor. That is the true test of free speech and academic freedom.

In her statement, Lane declares:
“I am a Caucasian cisgender female and first-generation college student from Appalachia who is of Scottish, British, and Norwegian heritage. I am married to a cisgender male, and we are middle class. While I did not ‘ask’ for the many privileges in my life: I have benefitted from them and will continue to benefit from them whether I like it or not.” At the end of her statement, Duncan Lane apologizes to students for the “inexcusable horrors within our shared history.”
The site Campus Reform further quotes Lane as saying
“This is injustice. I am and will continue to work on a daily basis to be antiracist and confront the innate racism within myself that is the reality and history of white people. I want to be better: Every day. I will transform: Every day. This work terrifies me: Every day. I invite my white students to join me on this journey. And to my students of color: I apologize for the inexcusable horrors within our shared history.”
The statement is reminiscent of other such declarations discussed earlier on this site. Last year, we discussed the controversy over the acting Northwestern Law Dean declaring publicly to “I am James Speta and I am a racist.” He was followed by Emily Mullin, executive director of major gifts, who announced, “I am a racist and a gatekeeper of white supremacy. I will work to be better.” Other faculty have been more accusatory of others like the Brandeis dean who declared “all whites are racist.”

Such statements reflect deep-seated political and social views from faculty. Those views may be deeply insulting for students or other faculty. However, I believe that they are still protected speech and reflect intellectual views protected under academic freedom.

The concern that I have is the inconsistent treatment of such controversies where conservative or contrarian faculty are given little accommodation, including a recent case at St. Joseph’s University. A conservative North Carolina professor faced calls for termination over controversial tweets and was pushed to retire. Dr. Mike Adams, a professor of sociology and criminology, had long been a lightning rod of controversy. In 2014, we discussed his prevailing in a lawsuit that alleged discrimination due to his conservative views. He was then targeted again after an inflammatory tweet calling North Carolina a “slave state.” That led to his being pressured to resign with a settlement. He then committed suicide just days before his last day as a professor.

Professor Lane is expressing her views of racism, including her...

Muslim Women who fear being forced to marry abroad told to hide spoon in underwear

Charity advises women and young girls to set off airport metal detectors to give them more time to seek help from authorities

A number of women and girls at risk of forced marriage have avoided going abroad by concealing spoons in their underwear at airport security, according to a campaign group.

Karma Nirvana, a Derby-based charity that supports victims of forced marriage, advises people who ring its helpline to hide a spoon in order to set off metal detectors at British airports. The group says that its recommendation has prevented some women from being spirited overseas.

Last week ministers warned that young people were at the highest risk of being taken abroad for a forced marriage during the school holidays. The government's forced marriage unit received 400 reports between June and August last year, out of an annual total of 1,500.

No one knows for sure how many Britons are forced into marriage each year. Estimates range from 1,500 to 5,000. More than a third of those affected are thought to be aged under 16.

Speaking to the AFP news agency, Natasha Rattu, Karma Nirvana's operations manager, said that when worried youngsters ring the charity's helpline, "if they don't know exactly when it may happen or if it's going to happen, we advise them to put a spoon in their underwear.

"When they go through security, it will highlight this object in a private area and, if 16 or over, they will be

Video: Trucker Convoy Swells in Size as It Rolls East Toward Washington, DC

A truckers’ convoy, inspired by Canada’s Freedom Convoy, began making its way across the U.S. starting in California on Wednesday.

The group is calling for an end to the COVID-19 mandates and the state of national emergency prompted by the pandemic, which was first declared by then-President Donald Trump in March 2020 and just renewed by President Joe Biden last week.

By Friday afternoon, “The People’s Convoy,” as it has been dubbed, had crossed Arizona on Interstate 40, which parallels much of the old U.S. Route 66, and reached Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The group is posting its progress on Facebook.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that the convoy consisted of dozens of trucks by the time it reached Kingman, Arizona, Wednesday, where the truckers spent their first night.

In video posted Friday that appeared to be on I-40, perhaps outside of Flagstaff — based on the mountains, snow, and evergreens in the shot — the convoy extended as far as the eye could see.

The Peoples Convoy has posted the route they will take on its website. They planned to overnight near the New Mexico/Texas border Friday night and then head on to Oklahoma, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania and finally arrive outside Washington, D.C., by Saturday, March 5.

Organizer Mike Landis said in a video posted on the group’s website that the convoy is “about our freedoms as Americans.”

“I have two young sons,” Landis added. “It’s about what their future is going to look like and hopefully my grandchildren’s.”

Landis said that “COVID was an issue in the beginning. Nobody knew what it was.”

However, the time for pandemic restrictions has long since passed, he argued, based on the knowledge available how to effectively treat the sickness.

“We have had the emergency powers enacted, which is in the Constitution,” Landis said. “[W]hen it is enacted, it cancels the Constitution for the duration that it is enacted.”

The National Emergencies Act grants the president, as the nation’s chief executive under the Constitution, the power to declare a state of national emergency.

Landis argued the impact of it is to curtail the freedoms Americans have under the Constitution, like the freedom of speech.

Canadian Prime Minister Justice Trudeau invoked his nation’s Emergencies Act to clear Freedom Convoy truckers who were protesting COVID mandates from Ottawa last week.

He ended the emergency declaration on Wednesday, saying “existing laws and bylaws are now sufficient to keep people safe.”

“What we aim to do at The People’s Convoy is get this emergency powers act revoked,” Landis said, meaning the current use of it in relation to COVID-19.

“There’s no need for it. We can prove it with science through...

38 Florida Sheriffs Demand Andrew Gillum Withdraw Anti-Cop Pledge

Thirty-eight elected Florida Sheriffs on Thursday called on Florida Democratic gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum to “immediately and unequivocally withdraw” his support for a radical organization’s “Freedom Pledge” that refers to anti-police rhetoric.

The letter to Gillum from the sheriffs reads:

We, the undersigned members of Florida’s law enforcement community, ask that you immediately and unequivocally withdraw your pledge to the organization, Dream Defenders. After learning of this organization’s disturbing and anti-law enforcement position and statements, we believe that any candidate wishing to lead our state should in no way be aligned with this radical group.

The pledge you signed not only calls for you to defund police and prisons, but the papers that accompany this pledge wrongly claim, “Police were never meant to protect and serve me and you…Police and prisons have no place in ‘justice’…Police and prisons aren’t just racist but they work to enforce the separations of rich and poor.”

We believe you will agree that anyone seeking to be Florida’s next Governor should support the men and women who put on a badge daily and risk their lives to protect their communities.

The pledge in question is a project of Dream Defenders, an anti-Israel, anti-capitalist group with which Gillum has evidenced a longtime close personal and professional relationship.

The pledge cites support for the organization’s socialist-style “Freedom Papers,” which declare that “police and prisons have no place in ‘justice.’” The papers further claim police “were never meant to protect and serve me and you” and “started as slave catchers hired by wealthy plantation owners.”

Dream Defenders’ “Freedom Papers,” endorsed in the pledge signed by Gillum, advocatetextbook socialist principals such as claiming that “by virtue of being born each of us has the absolute right to adequate food, shelter, clothing, water, healthcare, effective public transportation, dignified work, living wages.”

Gillum’s campaign responded to the controversy over his signing of the pledge saying that he was supportive of police as mayor of Tallahassee.

“The mayor has been a strong ally of law enforcement in Tallahassee, investing in additional officers to help reduce crime across the city,” said Johanna Cervone, spokeswoman for Gillum’s campaign. “As Mayor Gillum has previously said, he will not take money from the private prison industry and instead will invest in community policing, smart justice and strategies that work with communities to reduce crime and create better opportunities for all Floridians.”

Gillum previously posted a picture of himself on Facebook posing with Phillip Agnew, the co-founder of Dream Defenders. “Ran into two...

SAVAGES: Democrats Block A Vote To Support Iran Protesters Dying For Freedom

Naked proof that the Democrats are the party of terror and jihad.

Democrats in the House of Representatives blocked a vote Tuesday to support the protesters in Iran who are demonstrating against the regime.

Consideration and a vote on House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s resolution was blocked because Democrats advanced the previous question, by a vote of 226-191. The resolution would have condemned the Government of Iran for killing 1,500 Iranian citizens who were protesting their government, as well as condemned the Government of Iran for shooting down Ukraine International Airlines Flight 752, killing 176 people.

In addition, the resolution; “(3) condemns the Government of Iran for repeatedly lying to its people and to the world about its responsibility for the downing of Ukraine International Airlines Flight 752; (4) calls on the Government of Iran to— (A) refrain from the use of violence; and (B) protect the rights of freedom of expression and peaceful assembly; and (5) supports the protestors in Iran, their demands for accountability, and their desire for the Government of Iran to respect freedom and human rights.”

“What a disappointment —Democrats just blocked a vote on a resolution supporting the Iranian protestors. This is not the time for partisan politics. This should be a time for the US Congress to speak with one voice to condemn an Iranian regime that kills its...

DeSantis Battles the Teachers Union

Let’s hope Florida's governor succeeds with his plan to remove the government as the unions’ bagman.

Years ago when I was teaching, I asked A.J. Duffy, the president of United Teachers of Los Angeles at the time, why teachers weren’t responsible for paying their own dues. He replied, “They might forget.” I didn’t respond but I knew that some of my colleagues were thinking what I was thinking.

Forget? No. Choose not to pay? Yes.

In California and throughout much of the country, union dues are deducted by the local school district from teachers’ paychecks, just as federal and state withholding taxes are. The school district then turns the money over to the local teachers’ union. The union, a private organization, doesn’t pay a penny for the transactions; it’s the taxpayers who foot the bill for this service. In fact, payroll deduction is de rigueur for most public-employee unions. (As an NRA and AAA member, I pay what I owe via credit card, and government is not involved. Why should teachers’ unions be treated any differently?)

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis wants to stop this abuse in the Sunshine State. At a recent event in Orlando, he asserted that the government shouldn’t play a role in deducting teacher union dues. He explained that planned legislation would create more of a guarantee that money would wind up in teachers’ pockets and not be “frittered away by interest groups who get involved into the school system,” adding that he thinks that he will get legislative support for his idea.

Elisabeth Messenger, interim CEO of Americans for Fair Treatment, a group focused on educating employees on their union rights, agrees with DeSantis.

“Automatic dues deduction uses government resources to make it easier for unions to recruit and retain members and creates confusion for workers who may think their workplace union is endorsed by their employer or that membership is required by their employer,” Messenger said. “In signing this legislation, Governor DeSantis would be taking a huge step in protecting teachers’ private information and ensuring the Florida state government is not a middleman in funding partisan politics.”

The Florida Education Association is, not surprisingly, very unhappy with the DeSantis plan. In a statement, the union said, “The past few weeks, FEA has been asking educators to fill out a wish list with what they’re hopeful for in 2023. Common themes have been less testing, more resources and support, more stability—all things that would help us better serve our students and alleviate the teacher and staff shortage. Gov. DeSantis, however, appears to prioritize politics. Only a Grinch would attack teachers’ freedom to join in [sic] union to advocate for our students and schools.”

Freedom to join? Hardly.

DeSantis, who was reelected by a nearly 20-point margin in November, also indicated that he supports setting a threshold for unions to represent teachers, which would involve at least 50 percent of teachers being members of their local union.

While I am in full support of DeSantis’ “Freedom Blueprint,” he could have gone even further. Clearly, the government should not be collecting union dues, becoming, in effect, the union’s bagman. But why should 51 percent of the teachers in a school district be able to drag the dissenting 49 percent into collective bargaining negotiations? I maintain that those who don’t want to join a union should not be forced to be a part of the...

Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist proves Covid-19 Vaccines have caused huge increase in Miscarriages and Stillbirths

Dr. James Thorp, a maternal fetal medicine specialist, has revealed that COVID-19 vaccines are causing massive pregnancy loss.

Thorp noted that there has been a massive spike in the number of deaths and pregnancy losses associated with the COVID injections compared with the other vaccines. He presented six slides, including data from the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS).

“You look at the massive disparity in the deaths per month from all of these various vaccines. The COVID vaccine has much higher [deaths per month] than all other vaccines,” Thorp said. The doctor presently living in Florida also took note of the high number of fetal malformations associated with COVID vaccination, which he said is also massive compared to all other vaccinations.

Thorpe also presented a slide showing pregnancy loss associated with the COVID vaccine, which includes miscarriage, stillbirth and fetal death. He said that the data showing the massive number of pregnancy losses from the COVID vaccination and pregnancy compared to all other vaccinations is stunning. (Related: STUDY: Covid “vaccines” kill nine out of 10 babies in first trimester of pregnancy.)

The maternal fetal medicine specialist also pointed out that aside from fetal death and fetal malformation, babies exposed to vaccines before birth will have permanent lifelong damages, including cognitive brain disability, permanent immunological disability and a variety of autoimmune diseases.

“It’s horrible, disastrous. And if that weren’t bad enough, the vaccine appears to suppress some of the normal immune surveillance. So it has unleashed a large number of very rare cancers in newborns and infants in the first year of life,” Thorp said.

“Preliminary data would suggest that there could be permanent consequences in the babies that actually survive this poisonous jab. I don’t call it a vaccine. And those babies that survive may have lifelong mental disability, CNS [central nervous system] cognitive disability, lifelong immunological disability resulting in an increase in number of infections and increase in rare cancers. It is also associated with lifelong autoimmune disease.”

Thorp, who is focused on getting back healthcare freedom, said Americans should never trust medical and healthcare personnel in America.

“Your listeners should never trust any physician, including myself. Don’t ever trust a physician anywhere or a nurse anywhere in the United States of America because they won’t tell you the truth. They’re under a gag order,” Thorp pointed out.

“If they tell you the truth they’ll lose their livelihood. So you don’t trust them. Don’t trust anybody. They have destroyed the healthcare system. Nobody trusts these crooks, and nobody should.

“And if that weren’t bad enough, the whole issue of the Hippocratic Oath of informed consent – it’s all null and void. We can’t give fair informed consent to anybody. We’re under a gag order. You should not believe your physician, do not believe any healthcare worker.”

Thorp added that he wants to destroy “the cartel that has taken away all of our freedom and healthcare freedom in the United States of America.”

According to the Florida doctor, the cartel that he is talking about are the corrupt pharmaceutical companies and healthcare system that are getting massive federal kickbacks for poisoning and killing patients. He also included the insurance companies and...

Hobby Lobby Decision Creates Small Island of Freedom in Ocean of Statism - by Ron Paul

This week, supporters of religious freedom cheered the Supreme Court’s ruling in the Hobby Lobby case. The Court was correct to protect business owners from being forced to violate their religious beliefs by paying for contraceptives. However, the decision was very limited in scope and application.

The Court’s decision only applies to certain types of businesses, for example, “closely-held corporations” that have a “sincere” religious objection to paying for contraceptive coverage. Presumably, federal courts or bureaucrats will determine if a business’s religious objection to the mandate is “sincere” or not and therefore eligible for an opt-out from one Obamacare mandate.

Opponents of the Court’s decision are correct that a religious objection does not justify a special exemption from the Obamacare contraception mandate, but that is because all businesses should be exempt from all federal mandates. Federal laws imposing mandates on private businesses violate the business owners’ rights of property and contract.

Mandated benefits such as those in Obamacare also harm

Freedom Convoy organizer reveals plans for DC The activist said the truckers’ movement is like a “boa constrictor” coming to “squeeze” the US capital

One of the people behind the American Freedom Convoy revealed to Fox News on Monday that the truckers are planning to besiege the US capital, squeezing it like a “boa constrictor.”

Bob Bolus said the protesters’ main gripe was vaccine mandates, and to make the US government ditch those, the Convoy planned to “circle Washington DC” much like a “giant boa constrictor,” which, as he put it, “squeezes you, chokes you, and then swallows you.” The activist went on to warn “that’s what we’re going to do to DC.”

Apparently, the truckers, who dubbed their movement the ‘Great American Patriot Project’, are aiming for the Capital Beltway that surrounds Washington.

Responding to concerns voiced by Fox News journalist Lindsay Watts that the protest could interfere with the lives of ordinary people, or even potentially endanger human life by blocking emergency vehicles, Bolus said the truckers would leave one lane clear for emergency services. He stressed that the Freedom Convoy would not “compromise anybody’s safety or health one way or the other.”

Watts claimed in a tweet that the DC Department of Motor Vehicles law enforcement division had difficulty finding towing companies willing to remove trucks taking part in...

The Four Horsemen of the Left's Artificial Apocalypse

Let me state firmly my belief that we are on the precipice of a dramatic shift in human relations. The institutions, authorities, and cultural puppet masters that have hoarded power for centuries are screaming out today because they're breaking...and panicking. What have the last twenty-five years of technological innovations shown people? Among other things, the vast smorgasbord of free information that has exploded forth during this Digital Age big bang has put all the traditional "gatekeepers" on their back feet. The evening news broadcasts, the late-night comedy shows, and the White House Press Corps no longer maintain an exclusive monopoly over what is newsworthy. With ordinary people on social media proving themselves just as talented as most celebrity entertainers, Hollywood and the music industry no longer maintain an exclusive monopoly over what shapes our culture. And with the rise of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, we are fast approaching a time when central banks (and their client governments) no longer maintain a monopoly over fiat currencies that allow politicians and bankers to tax, punish, spend, and control citizens' wealth and livelihoods from the shadows of elite and insular economic clubs.

What these trends above represent is a fundamental transformation for human existence but not one toward international socialism, powerful oligarchies, or citizen subsistence. It is rather the rise of individual freedom at the expense and exclusion of government regulation and authority. These last twenty-five years of technological development have made it possible for humans to trade goods and services, knowledge, security, spiritual connection, and entertainment without consulting politicians, bureaucrats, pop stars, or corporate boards of directors. When you see this reality for what it truly is — nothing short of a technologically enabled revolution for human freedom and independence — it becomes obvious why those with power today have embraced authoritarianism and totalitarianism wherever we look. They have everything to lose and nothing to gain from our rising liberation. Their tyranny is their only salvation. In other words, the powers that be are all deeply afraid.

In response to their fear, everything the global elite do today is about pushing back against this organic revolution by consolidating power and wealth into as few hands as possible while trying to take over the technologies that have paved the way for greater individual freedom. These initiatives are collectivist (leftist) and globalist (oligarchical) in nature, and they all pursue the same aim: to weaken...

The Top 10 Reasons Trump Should be Speaker of the House

Many prominent personalities have been urging the president to do this, so here are the top reasons why he should step up to the challenge.

You could argue that our "betters" in the anti-liberty left are trying to destroy the country, or perhaps they are completely incompetent. Even the totally incompetent would have occasional success, so we're thinking it's the former. Either way, we need to change back to leadership that works, and we need it as soon as possible.

Having the House of Representatives elect President Trump as speaker would go a long way toward this goal. So, this is our reverse order listing of the top reasons President Trump needs to step up to the challenge.

1. Four words: State of the Union.

Picture this: while Biden and Harris are still in office and delivering their interminable State of the Union addresses, Donald J. Trump can be sitting behind them as the last visual word on their BS. It's even money they would cancel these political snooze fests for the duration.

2. The entertainment value of driving the nation's socialist media insane.

We can already hear your response that they lost the plot years ago, and you would be correct. Let's face it: Robert Ballard is going to need to develop a new submersible to get to the depths of insanity that they've reached in recent years.

Their echo chambers have their own echo chambers.

Watching them lose it every night, whining about the death of democracy (because they aren't in control), will be well worth the price of admission.

3. It will save billions from not having to bail out the nation's socialist media.

This goes right along with the previous point. We all know that the Democrats' propaganda organ is going to need a bailout. We can remember those bygone days when they at least tried to pretend to be objective.

The nation's socialist media are so blatant these days that you can imagine a latter-day Joseph Goebbels operating behind the scenes.

The people have taken notice, and their ratings are lower than a putrid stain under a dustbin. So it won't be long until they look to their partners in crime for a bailout — from the government. But having Trump to whine about 24/7 could keep them afloat.

4. It throws a spanner into the plans of the anti-liberty left.

It's a lot more fun to take the initiative than remain passive.

We can only guess what the liberticidal leftists have in store for us. President Trump as the new speaker of the House will throw those carefully laid plans into chaos, and when we're talking about liberty-destroying leftists, that's always a good thing.

5. It will energize the pro-freedom electorate.

The pro-freedom right needs every advantage it can muster against the anti-liberty left. The key is selecting those tactics that would have a selective effect of energizing the freedom community while driving the other side to distraction. Can anyone think of a better way to do that than the prospect of President Donald J. Trump as speaker of the House?

6. He can preside over "President" Biden and "Vice President" Kamala's impeachments.

Wouldn't this make it all worthwhile? Anti-liberty leftists love to...

Freedom?

I'm free, I'm free,

And freedom tastes of reality,
I'm free-I'm free,
AN' I'm waiting for you to follow me.

If I told you what it takes
to reach the highest high,
You'd laugh and say 'nothing's that simple'
But you've been told many times before
Messiahs pointed to the door
And no one had the guts to leave the temple!

I'm free-I'm free
And freedom tastes of reality
I'm free-I'm free
And I'm waiting for you to follow me.

FCC Rejects Petition that Would Have ‘Dangerously’ Curtailed Free Speech

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Office of General Counsel and Media Bureau rejected a petition by the progressive Free Press on Monday to “weaponize” the agency against broadcasters and conservatives to censor political speech.

Free Press recently petitioned the FCC to censor broadcasters from showing President Donald Trump’s press conferences on the coronavirus outbreak.

“When the president tells dangerous lies about a public health emergency, broadcasters have a choice: don’t air them, or put those lies in context with disclaimers noting that they may be untrue and are unverified,” Free Press wrote in its petition. “And certainly the FCC has a duty to rein in radio broadcasters that seed confusion with lies and disinformation.”

The FCC denied the petition in a letter to the Free Press, contending that the proposal “misconstrues the Commission’s rules and seeks remedies that would dangerously curtail the freedom of the press embodied in the First Amendment.”
FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr told Breitbart News in an interview last week that the petition is a “dangerous and sweeping attempt by the left to weaponize the FCC against broadcasters and conservatives and politicians.” FCC Chairman Ajit Pai said in a statement Monday that under his administration, the agency will continue to protect free speech.

Pai said:

Under my leadership, the FCC has always stood firmly in defense of Americans’ First Amendment freedoms, including freedom of the press. And so long as I am Chairman of this agency, we always will. The federal government will not—and never should—investigate broadcasters for their editorial judgments simply because a special interest group is angry at the views being expressed on the air as well as those expressing them. In short, we will not censor the news. Instead, consistent with the First Amendment, we leave it to broadcasters to determine for themselves how to cover this national emergency, including live events involving our nation’s leaders.

Under my leadership, the @FCC has always defended Americans’ 1st Amendment freedoms, including freedom of the press. That's why we've rejected a special interest's demand that we investigate broadcasters for their editorial judgments. @FCC staff decision: https://docs.fcc.gov/public/attachments/DA-20-385A1.pdf
