Unfortunately it affects us all, in the US. A year, or worse a destruction of the area for five to twenty years in an obverse to the dustbowl woul be a disaster. Food is already going through the roof with money printing and central price controls. If they weren't controlling gold and silver, usually down... but one artificial control can't fix for the others. It isn't just California that is sinking. It is getting really bad out there.
It will be an issue for us here in Florida as well as people, running away from high-tax states, flood (pun intended) into this one. They've been robbing Florida's groundwater for decades as it was.
