There are 2 million cases of Health Care Associated Infection (HAI) per year, about 99,000 of them are fatal. The most common victim are the elderly and the most common type is pneumonia. When all is said and done I think more elderly are going to die of infections they picked up in the hospital than of the COVID-19 they were taken to the hospital for.
