FAKE NEWS: Associated Press Deletes Tweet That Spread Lie About NRA

On Monday, the Associated Press was forced to delete a factually inaccurate tweet that promoted a lie about the NRA which originated from far-left Parkland activists.

In a now-deleted tweet, The Associated Press wrote: "NRA bans guns at President Trump, VP Pence speeches during it's annual meeting in Dallas."

The lie started when far-left activist Cameron Kasky tweeted a photo of an NRA announcement that stated that firearms would not be permitted at the convention due to the attendance of Pence, and then proceeded to mock the gun rights organization over the statement.

The media then promoted the lie as several news organizations and far-left activists attacked the NRA over the apparent hypocrisy. The Secret Service and the NRA both responded to the claims by saying the NRA did not have jurisdiction over the event and it was the Secret Service's call to prohibit weapons at the event where Trump and Pence were speaking.

The Associated Press quickly deleted their tweet and issued a correction stating: "AP has deleted a tweet that incorrectly said the NRA had banned guns during Trump and Pence speeches at its annual meeting. The ban was put in place by the Secret Service. A corrected tweet is coming."
The new tweet from the Associated Press correctly stated: "NRA members can bring their guns during most of the annual meeting in Dallas – but not while Trump and Pence are speaking. The Secret Service has barred them during their speeches."

Hornady refuses to sell ammo to NY agencies after Cuomo gun initiative

Ammunition giant Hornady is cutting off government buyers in New York over an order by New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo to financial services companies regarding gun politics.

Steve Hornady, the company’s president of manufacturing, announced on social media on Friday that the ammo maker will halt sales of their products to Cuomo’s state government or agencies in the Empire State. The move comes after an order directed by Cuomo earlier last month that cautioned banks, insurance companies and lenders against involvement with the National Rifle Association and similar organizations. Slamming the Governor’s move as one of the most “despicable acts ever perpetrated by any state,” Hornady closed the doors to the state.

“While it may not make a difference to New York, Hornady will not knowingly allow our ammunition to be sold to the Government of the State of NY or any NY agencies,” Hornady said. “Their actions are a blatant and disgusting abuse of office and we won’t be associated with a government that acts like that.”

The guidance issued by Cuomo came from the state’s Department of Financial Services on April 19 in the form of official letters to all DFS-regulated insurers and banks in the state. In the missives, Financial Services Superintendent Maria Vullo urged financial institutions to examine their relationships with the NRA and organizations that promote guns to take “prompt actions to manage these risks” when it came to protecting their corporate reputations. Pointing to the public backlash on gun rights groups and firearm companies in the wake of a high-profile mass shootings that have dominated the news cycle, Vullo encouraged those regulated by her agency that “Corporations are demonstrating that business can lead the way and bring about the kind of positive social change needed to minimize the chance that we will witness more of these senseless tragedies.”

In recent weeks, big-name lenders such as Citi and Bank of America have adopted new policies that could see them cut ties with partnering businesses unwilling to adopt new policies for selling firearms or manufacturing some types of semi-automatic guns — which has in turn brought calls for more regulatory oversight of the institutions with respect to government contracts.

Hornady is one of the premier ammunition suppliers to law enforcement in the country. The company recently was awarded a $19 million contract to provide a new generation of ...

What Is Your Plan B?

Showdown builds between Comey, House: Just what did FBI director say about Michael Flynn?

There's an intense conflict brewing between some Capitol Hill Republicans and fired FBI Director James Comey. The Republicans say Comey has been lying about what he told them in a March 2017 meeting. Comey says he never said what the Republicans say he said.

The Republicans say there's a transcript — not just of Comey's testimony but of fired top FBI deputy Andrew McCabe, too — that will prove them right. But so far, the intelligence community has prevented that proof from seeing the light of day. A resolution to the matter might come as soon as the next few days.

The conflict concerns Michael Flynn, the fired national security adviser who has pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI in the Trump-Russia investigation. The FBI interviewed Flynn in the White House on Jan. 24, 2017. In the weeks that followed, there was significant public debate over Flynn and the Trump-Russia matter, and in March, Comey went to Capitol Hill to brief lawmakers on what was going on.

In a meeting with some members of the House, according to sources familiar with the matter, Comey told lawmakers that the two FBI agents who interviewed Flynn did not believe he had lied to them, or that any inaccuracies in his answers were intentional. Lawmakers left the briefing with the impression that Flynn would not be charged with lying to the FBI.

At the end of November 2017, Flynn pleaded guilty to just that.

In February of this year, I reported that Comey had told Congress that the FBI agents involved did not think that Flynn had lied. In recent weeks, as Comey has gone on a publicity tour to promote his book, A Higher Loyalty , he has been asked on at least three occasions about the report, and each time has answered that he simply did not say what Republican sources say he said.

The most recent example came Sunday morning on NBC. "In the Washington Examiner, they report that, according to sources familiar with meetings that you had, that you told lawmakers when you were still director of the FBI that FBI agents who interviewed Flynn did not believe that Flynn had lied to them or that any inaccuracies in his answers were intentional," "Meet the Press" host Chuck Todd said to Comey. "If that's the case, what did he plead guilty to?"

"Yes, an example of how you can't believe everything you read in the media," Comey said.

"This is not true?" Todd asked.

"Not true," said Comey. "And I don't know what people heard me say, if they're reporting it accurately, what they heard me say, they misunderstood. But that's not accurate."

A few days earlier, in an interview with Fox News' Bret Baier, Comey said essentially the same thing.

"Did you tell lawmakers that FBI agents didn't believe former national security adviser Michael Flynn was lying intentionally to investigators?" asked Baier.

"No," said Comey.

"You did not—" said Baier.

"And I saw that in the media," Comey said. "I don't know what — maybe someone misunderstood something I said. I didn't believe that and didn't say that."

Two weeks ago, in Comey's first interview , ABC's George Stephanopoulos said, "There's been some reporting that at one point you told the Congress that the agents who interviewed Mike Flynn didn't believe that he had lied."

"Yeah, I saw that," said Comey. "And that — I don't know where that's coming from. That — unless I'm — I said something that people misunderstood, I don't remember even intending to say that. So my recollection is...

War: Trump goes off on lying Democrat Sen. Jon Tester for slandering Dr. Ronny Jackson

There are times when Donald Trump’s refusal to operate according to the established rules of Washington is so desperately needed, it reminds you of why some of us overlooked so many of his flaws and decided it was worth the risk to elect him. (In addition to his opponent being Hillary, of course.)

Trump’s nomination of Dr. Ronny Jackson to be Secretary of Veterans’ Affairs was questionable because Jackson arguably didn’t have the right background for it, but none of that justified the complete, slanderous character assassination perpetrated against Dr. Jackson by Democrat Sen. Jon Tester of Montana.

Jon Tester is a lying, slanderous dirtbag. The allegations he publicly aired against Dr. Jackson in the run-up to his now-aborted confirmation hearings were completely false, totally unfounded and scurrilous in every way. They are now being factually refuted by the Secret Service and by police reports of the incidents Sen. Tester completely misrepresented.

CNN gleefully ran with Tester’s slanderous allegations, because that’s what CNN does, but we’ve long known how CNN does business. Jon Tester is a public official, and he has no business engaging in character assassination of good men simply to score a partisan take-down. Yet that’s exactly what he did to Dr. Jackson.

Now normally, the stance of the White House would be that this is the way the game is played and there’s nothing you can do about it. There are already Beltway types trying to blame all this on...

Broward student publishes damning evidence proving Broward school officials neglected school safety

Broward County student journalist Kenneth Preston published the findings of an in-depth investigation on Thursday that uncovered damning evidence proving Broward County school officials slacked on school security in the years leading up to the massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on Feb. 14.

The findings also refute the mainstream media’s claim that firearms, specifically the AR-15, are to blame for the massacre.

What did Preston uncover?

Preston discovered that in 2014, an $800 million bond was allocated to Broward County Public Schools, with more than $100 million earmarked directly for school safety. However, many of the planned safety upgrades to county schools were delayed due to concerns over costs.

One of the delayed projects was an improvement to MSD’s fire system “that allows a delay to determine if there’s an actual fire before the alarm triggers,” according to Preston. If that improvement had been made, seeing that the murderer pulled the fire alarm, students’ lives could have been saved because they wouldn’t have left their classrooms as there was no actual fire.

In all, Preston discovered that only $5,584,512 — or about 5 percent — of $104,325,821 allocated for school safety in 2014 has been spent on it since.

But that’s not all. Preston learned that Obama-era school behavioral programs, like The Promise Program and the Behavior Intervention Program, led troubled students, like the massacre’s perpetrator, to escape punishment.

“After weeks of research, searching through thousands of pages of government documents, and speaking with dozens of officials, I have come to the conclusion that Superintendent Runcie and members of the school board have failed at their essential role in keeping our students safe. Whether that’s because of incompetence or the incentive of federal dollars is for you to decide,” Preston wrote in an article outlining his findings.

“Ultimately, no matter what laws pass, the extent, or how infrequent these shootings become, if the people who were complicit in facilitating an environment in which something like this could occur don’t face consequences, then there is no justice,” he wrote.

How did Broward County Schools react?

According to Preston, superintendent Robert Runcie called his meticulously sourced investigation “fake news.”

“Superintendent Runcie called an article referencing this report ‘fake news’ and recommended anyone interested in facts should look to Florida TaxWatch, an independent organization tasked with overseeing the distribution of the money. I reached out to Florida Taxwatch, and Vice President of Research Robert Nave has told me that my numbers are correct,” Preston wrote in his article.
Preston also outlined his findings in a tweet thread:

CONFIRMED: Former Feinstein Staffer Raised $50 Million, Hired Fusion GPS And Christopher Steele After 2016 Election

A declassified congressional report confirms prior reporting by The Federalist that Daniel Jones, a former staffer for Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), hired Fusion GPS and Christopher Steele after the 2016 election to push the anti-Trump Russian collusion narrative.

According to the report, Jones, who runs an investigative outfit called the Penn Quarter Group (PQG), told the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in March of 2017 that he had retained the services of Fusion GPS and Christopher Steele to “continue exposing Russian interference” in the 2016 election. Steele is the former British spy who authored the infamous unverified dossier of allegations against President Donald Trump.

Although Jones’ name is redacted in the report, the biographical details plus previous reporting on the matter make clear that he is the individual referenced. The report also revealed that Jones told federal investigators that he had raised $50 million from “7 to 10 wealthy donors located primarily in...

Members of Migrant Caravan ‘Marrying’ at U.S. Border Before Seeking Asylum

Migrants associated with a “Central American Caravan” showed up at the United States border Sunday reportedly seeking asylum from gang violence, but many decided to “tie the knot” upon hearing news from their legal counsel that they may face separation when entering the U.S.

Several migrant couples who showed up at the border between Tijuana, Mexico, and San Diego, California, married each other Sunday morning in a small ceremony presided over by a Chicago pastor with “monarch butterfly wings.”

The couples tied the knot before reportedly presenting themselves to United States authorities at the San Ysidro point of entry Sunday after legal counsel for the migrants informed them they could be separated from their children and detained for months.

But these “marriages” might not work for these migrants because U.S. immigration courts require substantial proof to prove that a marriage is real. When migrants typically apply for asylum, immigration authorities require proof beyond a...

PROOF! Deep State sabotaged Clinton investigation

A breakthrough new revelation shows that the Obama administration was such a black hole of justice that two separate investigations into former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s crimes were nearly shut down by the same Deep State official – and they happened right after a possible bribe.

According to a crack investigative reporter, one of the highest-ranking figures in the Obama administration shut down the investigation into Hillary’s homebrew e-mail server – the same time his wife got a big, fat campaign donation from a Clinton insider.

Andrew McCabe, who was the FBI Deputy Director for Barack Obama, told agents to back off the investigation into crooked Hillary’s e-mails, something his agents are calling a “stand down” order.

Multiple former FBI agents told investigative reporter Sara A. McCarter that evidence of criminality was piling up, but McCabe ordered them to butt out.

As Secretary of State, Hillary’s use of an unsecured e-mail server put national security in peril. She denied sending classified material over her personal system, but investigators retrieved undeniable proof that she did repeatedly – making them easy prey for foreign spies and private hackers.

The story went public after it was published, surprisingly enough, by the New York Times.

FBI agents say McCabe gave the stand-down order sometime between when the story hit in March 2015 and that July.

That means that McCabe tried to squash the politically embarrassing investigation into crooked Hillary’s server before it even began.

The eyebrow-raising decision came as McCabe’s wife Jill was running for Virginia state senate as a Democrat – and as her campaign got a huge donation from a Clinton ally.

The Wall Street Journal found election records showing that she received $700,000 from super PACs associated with Terry McAuliffe, the then-Virginia governor who has a cozy, decades-long relationship with...

US experts ‘invited to see shutdown of N Korean nuclear test site’

North Korea has said it will close its nuclear test site in May. The North Korean leader Kim Jong-un told his counterpart in Seoul that experts from the US and South Korea would be invited to witness the closure and dismantling of the Punggyi-ri site in the country’s northeast, a spokesman said on Sunday.
Seismologists said the country’s main testing facility may have partly collapsed during a series of aftershocks following the last test at Punggyi-ri in mid-September.

But Kim reportedly said on Friday that two other tunnels still remained in good condition.

The news comes as US President Donald Trump presses for full denuclearization ahead of his summit with Kim Jong-un, which now looks likely to be held in late May.

Trump said on Saturday the summit “would likely to held in the next three or four weeks”, although exactly where he will meet the North Korean leader has yet to be revealed.

On Friday, Kim and South Korean President Moon Jae-in vowed “complete denuclearization” of the Korean peninsula in the first inter-Korean summit in more than a decade, but the declaration did not include concrete steps to reach that goal, Reuters said.

North Korea’s state media had said before the summit that Pyongyang would immediately suspend nuclear and missile tests, scrap its nuclear test site and instead pursue economic growth and peace.

Kim told Moon he would soon invite experts and journalists to show the dismantling of the facilities “to the international community”, the Blue House in Seoul, where the South Korean leader resides, said.

“The United States, though inherently hostile to North Korea, will get to know once our talk begins that I am not the kind of person who will use nuclear weapons against the South or the United States across the Pacific,” Moon’s press secretary Yoon Young-chan quoted Kim as saying.

“There is no reason for us to possess nuclear weapons while suffering difficulties if mutual trust with the United States is built through frequent meetings from now on, and an end to the war and...

Why Trump’s North Korea Success Is Example of “Genuis Level Diplomacy”

It has often been said that Ronald Reagan won the Cold War without firing a shot. Even as his political contemporaries and media pundits in the 1980’s mocked Mr. Reagan for what they dismissed as an overly-simplistic approach to world affairs, time and time again Reagan proved them wrong and in the end was the man most responsible for freeing hundreds of millions from the tyranny of an oppressive Soviet regime. The parallels between Reagan vs the Soviet government and Trump vs the North Korean government are striking.

A recent social media post by a Trump supporter described the President’s success with North Korea as “genius level diplomacy.”

The gist of that conclusion goes like this:

**Trump comes out swinging against North Korea warning the authoritarian regime he won’t put up with nonsense as previous presidents (Clinton, Bush, Obama) have done.

**Trump moved forcefully against China economically via demands for new trade agreements. While on the surface China tries to appear only mildly upset, behind the scenes Chinese officials are in a panic over what that could do to their economy. This, in turn, makes them, for the first time ever, take the sanctions against North Korea seriously.

**The North Korean regime starts to feel the impacts of real sanctions on them. China quietly but forcefully urges the regime to back off its nuclear ambitions.

**The Trump government is opening back channels of communication with...

DIRTY LOS ANGELES COP BUSTED SMUGGLING ILLEGALS INTO COUNTRY

Even as the high-stakes Mexican standoff inches nearer as the “refugee” caravan gets closer to the southern border and isn’t backing down, the complicity of agents of the state of California in enabling the invasion is becoming more noticeable.

The state has waged a fierce resistance against the rest of the country after their massive vote for Hillary Clinton in 2016 ran into the brick wall of the U.S. Constitution and the Electoral College and California officials are determined to block the government from enforcing federal immigration laws.

The latest example of this is an LAPD officer who was caught red-handed acting as a “coyote” by attempting to smuggle two illegal aliens into the country this week.
Via CBS Los Angeles “LAPD Officer Arrested For Trying To Smuggle Immigrants Across Border”:

A Los Angeles police officer has been arrested on federal charges alleging he tried to smuggle two illegal immigrants into the United States this week in southeastern San Diego County.

Mambasse Koulabalo Patara has been charged with violating immigration laws, according to...

Here Are Three Scary FBI Scandal Factors You Must Know

There's an old Washington maxim that advises being careful because 'what goes around almost always comes back around'

There are three scary but crucially important factors underlying the rapidly growing FBI scandal that most people miss even though they are hidden in plain sight. Recognizing and understanding this trio goes a long way toward explaining what has happened in the scandal and where it is likely to go next.

First, there’s Horowitz’ Revenge. Virtually everybody in the nation’s capital is waiting either in fear or eager anticipation for the upcoming investigative report of Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz.

Horowitz is among the most respected and effective IGs ever appointed but former President Barack Obama, who nominated him in 2011, may consider that decision among those he most regrets from his eight years in the White House.

Here’s why: The Inspectors General Act of 1978 authorizes the IGs and their investigators and auditors to obtain and examine any official document necessary to carrying out their responsibilities in fighting waste, fraud and corruption in government. Presidents appoint IGs but they report to Congress, making them an important component of congressional oversight of the executive branch.

But a few months before Horowitz was sworn-in in 2012, Eric Holder, Obama’s Attorney General and previously deputy attorney general under President Bill Clinton, gutted the IG act provision that mandates their access to all necessary documents. Holder acted at the behest of then-FBI Director Robert Mueller and others at the bureau.

Holder — who would subsequently be held in contempt by Congress for refusing to turn over subpoenaed documents in the Fast and Furious scandal — thus forced Horowitz to request in writing any documents he sought from the bureau.

There then ensued a three-year struggle in Congress and the media that culminated in Obama having no choice but to sign the Inspector General Empowerment Act of 2016 that removed all doubt about the IG’s access.

During the three years between Holder’s blatant subversion of the 1978 IG Act and passage of the 2016 law, James Comey succeeded Mueller as FBI chief but continued to wall off Horowitz’s access to documents essential to doing his job until the new law was passed.

Horowitz has been investigating the FBI’s conduct in its investigation of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s use of a private server and email system to conduct official business as America’s chief diplomat. He’s also probing the bureau’s investigation of allegations of collusion between President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign and elements linked to the Russian government.

In the course of those two investigations, Horowitz has obtained and reviewed an estimated 1.2 million documents. There is an old saying in Washington that “things that go around have a way of coming back around.”

Second, there’s Obama’s Perogative. As more facts are uncovered about the lengths to which former FBI Director James Comey, his then-Deputy Director Andrew McCabe and a half dozen other pro-Hillary Clinton bureau insiders went to protect the Democratic nominee in her email scandal, the least discussed element is Obama’s role in the affair.

But former Attorney General Michael Mukasey and former U.S. Attorney Andrew McCarthy make persuasive cases that protecting Obama in the Clinton email scandal was key to...
