I think that is their point. They mean to rebel, even against goodness. You... miss the point. Yea, a lot of kids, raised without good parents, or their fathers or mothers, are sociopaths or psychopaths. Charles Manson might as well be their father. Not all who grew up rough are that way, but the odds aren't good.
