The agency has been accused of political bias.
Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell has removed the FBI from the duty of election security intelligence briefings to presidential candidates, assigning briefing responsibility to the National Counterintelligence and Security Center.
Jack Posobiec reported on the development Friday afternoon.
Grenell’s move comes as the FBI comes under increased scrutiny and accusations of political bias for its track record during and after the 2016 presidential election. The agency appears to have been beset by a team of reactionary liberal partisans at the highest levels of its leadership during the last election, who engaged in misconduct during investigations that targeted the Donald Trump campaign with political motives.
Most recently the agency was busted for misconduct during the January 2017 investigation of former White House National Security Advisor Michael Flynn. More like engaged in criminal activity, including multiple felonies, by the leadership at FBI, perhaps including treason.
