CYBERATTACK: 45% of East Coast fuel shuts down after major online attack
A major pipeline system that stretches from Texas to New Jersey was shut down Saturday after a massive cyberattack crippled the crucial fuel supply line.
Pipeline operator Colonial Pipeline said they shut down their system after a ransomware attack was discovered. This type of cyberattack locks down systems until payment is given.

Halleluiah!!! Now everyone will see how much more efficient trucks and railroads are. Those against the Keystone Pipeline will be vindicated! Or not.
My wife has a friend whose son work for Colonial in Louisiana. We got a heads up on this yesterday. My truck, motorcycle, wife's car, and every gasoline burning engine has their tanks topped off along with another 18 gallons in gas cans. A tank of fuel last my wife between 2 and 3 weeks. I can get 2 weeks out of a tank on my truck. I have 2 and a half weeks before my summer break. I will be riding the motorcycle as much as I can until the gas is flowing again.
I keep my truck tank full (a tank lasts 2 weeks) and have 50 gallons on hand at all times for the generator. Hope I don't have to tap into that.
I think Joe "peepads" accidently mashed the wrong button while trying to order pudding cups from door dash.
OK, whoever the utter dumbass was that decided that the ability to shift back to all analog at any given moment was unnecessary needs to be drawn and quartered, keel hauled then hung, immediately, in public.
