Isn't that the truth? Funny and sad at the same time.
It isn't bravery, or fear. If you see it as antilogical? Then it makes perfect sense. Believing in aliens is easier than believing in God. Believing paying more in taxes, and having rights eroded, in order to save the planet mostly warmed by the sun makes perfect nonsense. All sorts of things. It's poor logic, illogic really, that rules these people. And fear.
