The 90 Miles Mystery Box: Episode #1963

You have come across a mystery box. But what is inside?
It could be literally anything from the serene to the horrific,
from the beautiful to the repugnant,
from the mysterious to the familiar.

If you decide to open it, you could be disappointed,
you could be inspired, you could be appalled.

This is not for the faint of heart or the easily offended.
You have been warned.
Welcome Adventurer, To The Mystery Box!

#5 is the good ole P-38 GI can opener. Even long since returned Viet Vets carried on key chain for years after.

I had a veteran uncle who gave me on3 or 5h3 old steel P-38's when I was a young teenager (maybe 14). He showed me how it worked and told me it could be used as a makeshift screwdriver. I carried it on my keychain for years. That was 44 years ago and I still have it.

We called them 'John Waynes' and later on 'Dead Dukes'. Had to take it off the key chain in order to pass airport security an fly. What an effin' world we live in.

Still have P-38's on both my truck keys. Dont leave home without them, and yes, I have had to use them. Very handy when you need it.
