I worked my way through college in the mid to late 70s in some of the worst areas of Los Angeles. I am White and worked on multiracial crews for the phone company. I worked in the Mexican Slums and then the Black Slums. All areas controlled by gangs.
Black crime was the worst and we got attacked often. In the Black areas there were drive-bys and areas that the police would not go. We went in those areas only at certain times (after they went to sleep and before they woke up), and in teams of three (one to watch the vans, two to do the work). We found a woman skinned alive dead and it was gruesome. During my my time in the Black areas my Black supervisor got shot and I was hit with a bottle when I was working off a pole.
Black crime is never mentioned by media but it is the worse in America compare to all other races. Black on Black crime outpaces all others. This has been going on for many many decades and there will be no change.
